Next Cemetery Phase is currently in design.  More details to follow as location is identified through the master plan.

The Public Works Department handles all activities pertaining to cemetery management.  The Town of Westwood does not have a separate cemetery department. The Operations Manager, who also acts as the Cemetery Superintendent, reports to the Cemetery Commission and carries out all policies set forth by them.

The Operations Manager has full responsibility for the following:

  • Cemetery grounds, buildings and equipment, including operation and maintenance thereof;
  • Arrangement of burials, removals and any other necessities for the benefit of proprietors of lots and other issues of the Westwood Cemeteries; and
  • Enforcement of all laws, rules or regulations affecting the rights of proprietors or the conduct of visitors.
