EVERYTHING to be collected (trash, recycle, yard waste & bulk) must be at curbside by 7am on your scheduled day. ANY missed pick-ups (that were at curbside by 7am) need to be reported to dpw@westwoodma.gov or 781-251-2587 within 24 hours of your scheduled day.

Expand/Contract Questions and Answers

Do I need to have permission to widen, move or add another driveway to my property?
Yes. Each request for location or relocation of driveway aprons and curb cuts shall be made through an application for a Public Way Access Permit (PWAP). PWAP application forms and requirements are available at the Department of Public Works. Such application should state the reasons for the driveway and shall be accompanied by a sketch showing the lot sidelines, approximate location of the house, any garage, location of sidewalk, the proposed driveway, and the existing driveway. The width of the proposed and existing driveway and curb cut must be provided. Please note that any proposed work within the public way will also require a Street Opening Permit.
How do I report a street light outage?
The street lights in the Town of Westwood are maintained by Pine Ridge Technologies. To report a street light outage send details, pole number/street address and pictures (if possible) to the Westwood DPW @ dpw@westwoodma.gov or (781) 251-2587.
Will the DPW be picking up Christmas Trees this year?
All trees must be free of plastic bags, stands, ornaments/hooks, tinsel and all other materials to be acceptable for collection.
Please have your tree curbside by 7:00 AM on your regular trash day during the first two weeks of January.
