An Unattended Donation Container (UDC) is any unattended container or receptacle located on any public or private property used for soliciting and collecting donations of clothing or other salvageable personal property.

All UDC's must be licensed by the Select Board

All UDC applications require an Administrative Environmental Impact & Design Review by the Town Planner prior to being presented to the Select Board for consideration.

Unattended Donation Containers (UDC) License Regulations

The purpose of these regulations is to register and regulate the placement of Unattended Donation Containers (UDC) in order to ensure the convenience and welfare of the community, to provide an alternative to disposal of certain waste products into the town’s solid waste stream, to reduce tipping fees, to make sure they are appropriately located and to protect the visual environment of the community.
