NOTICE OF ADVANCED REMOVAL OF EARLY VOTED BALLOTS FROM ENVELOPES AND ADVANCED DEPOSITING OF EARLY VOTED BALLOTS

In accordance with the Secretary of States regulations 950 CMR 47.12(Processing Early Voting Ballots) and under the provisions of section 7(k) of Chapter 115 of the Acts if 2020, the Town of Westwood will be removing early voting ballots from their envelopes and depositing these ballots in the ImageCast vote tabulator  on Sunday, August 30, 2020 in the Jaillet Meeting Room, Westwood Police station, 588 High Street beginning at 8:00AM.  This shall include all early voting ballots received through Saturday, August 29, 2020.

Any ballots received after this date will be brought to their prospective polling locations on Election Day to be processed.

As Town offices remain closed to the public, we respectively ask that observers register by emailing townclerk@townhall.westwood.ma.us  in advance of this Early Voting Processing Session.

Ballots will be transported in a sealed container from Town Clerk’s Vault to the Advance Removal facility: Jaillet Meeting Room, Westwood Police Station, 588 High Street, Westwood, MA.

In Accordance with the Regulations,950 CMR 47.12 and the provisions of sections 7(k)of Chapter 115 of the Acts of 2020, no results of September 1, 2020  State Primary shall be determined or announced until after the time the polls close (8:00PM) on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. At that time, the results from Advance Processed Ballots shall be added to the Election Day results, posted online and at Westwood Town Hall.
