Dedham-Westwood Water District to Host Discussion About Next Year's Water Rate Increase
The Dedham-Westwood Water District will host a discussion about next year’s water rate increase at the Board of Commissioners Meeting on Tuesday, January 10, at 6:30 p.m.
A 5% rate increase is proposed. Residential customers that use an average of 6.5 CCF (1 CCF = One Hundred Cubic Feet = 748 gallons) per month should expect to see an approximate $2.02 monthly bill increase.
“This rate increase is necessary to meet the rising cost of providing water service to all customers,” said Executive Director Blake Lukis. “Like all industries, the District continues to experience the effects of inflation. Numerous operating costs, such as electricity and water treatment chemicals, have increased significantly.”
Attendees can join the meeting remotely via Zoom or at the District Headquarters, 50 Elm Street, Dedham.
Next year’s proposed rate structure can be referenced online.
