Pursuant to Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021. On June 16, 2021, Governor Baker signed into law An Act Extending Certain COVID-19 Measures Adopted during the State of Emergency. This Act includes an extension, until July 15, 2022, of the remote meeting provisions of his March 12, 2020, Executive Order.
This meeting will be conducted via remote means. Members of the public who wish to access the meeting may do so by using the Webinar link below. No in-person attendance of members of the public will be permitted, but every effort will be made to ensure that the public can adequately access the proceedings in real-time, via technological means. In the event that we are unable to do so, for reasons of economic hardship and despite our best efforts, we will post on the Town website an audio or video recording, transcript, or another comprehensive record of proceedings as soon as possible after the meeting.

The Select Board of the Town of Westwood, Massachusetts, as statutory Cable License Issuing Authority, will hold a remote Public Hearing on July 11, 2022, at 6:00 p.m., in connection with the Town’s Verizon New England, Inc. The current Westwood Verizon cable license is due to expire on July 16, 2022. The purpose of the proceeding is to accept public comment on the proposed final Westwood Verizon renewal license and to formally consider, and possibly take final action, including possible approval of, the proposed final Westwood Verizon renewal license. Public comment on Town renewal needs and the proposed renewal is invited. Copies of renewal documents are available for public inspection and copying via the Town Clerk or Office of the Town Administrator. Please contact the Office of the Westwood Town Administrator (781-326-4172) in the event of the need for further information. Request received on May 19, 2022, for a pole located near 793 High Street, as shown on the plans drafted by Chappell Engineering Associates, LLC., dated February 1, 2022, on file with the said petition.
- Pole #13-104 (Pole near the property with an address of 692 High Street) - The Select Board originally reviewed and approved this petition on March 29, 2022, and will meet on July 11, 2022, to discuss the proposed height of the small cell equipment (height requirement per Eversource via the agreement with Verizon).
