The December 6, 2021, Select Board meeting will be held via ZOOM WEBINAR ONLY

Pursuant to Chapter 20 of the Acts of 2021, On June 16, 2021, Governor Baker signed into law an Act Extending Certain COVID-19 Measures Adopted during the State of Emergency.  This Act includes an extension, until April 1, 2022, of the remote meeting provisions of his March 12, 2020, Executive Order. This meeting will be conducted via remote means. Members of the public who wish to access the meeting may do so by using the Webinar link below. Every effort will be made to ensure that the public can adequately access the proceedings in real time, via technological means. In the event that we are unable to do so, for reasons of economic hardship and despite best efforts, we will post on the Town website an audio or video recording, transcript, or other comprehensive record of proceedings as soon as possible after the meeting.

Please take notice that the Select Board at its meeting on November 15, 2021, continued the FY22 Tax Classification Hearing to the next Select Board Meeting to be held on December 6, 2021, a hybrid public hearing scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm.

As of this posting, the December 6, 2021, Select Board Meeting will be held hybrid (in-person and via zoom webinar). This meeting could be changed to a virtual meeting only (via zoom webinar only), and members of the public are encouraged to check the town website for more information.

Members of the public who wish to access the meeting may do so either in-person at the Jaillet Meeting Room or by using the Webinar link below. In-person attendance of members of the public will be permitted based on space availability and following CDC, State, and local guidelines. Every effort will be made to ensure that the public can adequately access the proceedings in real time, via technological means, and in-person. The purpose of this meeting will be for discussion and taxpayer feedback and a vote of the Select Board to determine the allocation of Fiscal Year 2022 taxes among the classes of real and personal property as set forth in Chapter 40, Section 56 of the General Laws. NOTICE OF CABLE TELEVISION PUBLIC HEARING

Please take notice that the Select Board of the Town of Westwood, Massachusetts, as Issuing Authority for a cable television license under M.G.L. c.166A, will hold a hybrid public hearing on Monday, December 6, 2021, at 7:00 pm. The hearing will be held in-person in the Jaillet Meeting Room at the Westwood Police Station, and via Zoom Webinar. The purpose of the public hearing will be to identify Town and public cable license renewal needs as part of the process to determine whether to issue a cable television license to Verizon, New England, Inc.  Applications, reports and license drafts that may be considered at the hearing that constitute public records under state law will be available for public inspection during regular business hours and for reproduction. 

Members of the public are invited to attend and be heard on: (a) whether the current cable operator’s compliance with and/or performance under its currently-existing cable license; and (b) the Town’s future community cable-related needs.  The applications, reports, statements and license drafts will be available for inspection at the Select Board’s Office or the Town Clerk’s Office, both located at 580 High Street, Westwood, Massachusetts 02090.
