Last Updated 6/19/07 Housing Office (781)320-1031 The non-profit arm of the housing authority, Westwood Affordable Housing Associates, Inc. was formed in 1994 to pursue creative options for funding the development or purchase of affordable family rental units in Westwood. Over the past ten years WAHA has purchased three two-bedroom duplexes, one three-bedroom duplex, and one single house for a total of nine rental units. All tenants must be certified as low income. All units are currently rented and occupied at this time. If you wish to be added to the list if a unit becomes available, please send a written request to the Westwood Housing Office, Town Hall, The Town does not own any senior housing units but refers all interested applicants that are age 55 or over (or disabled) to Highland Glen or Westwood Glen. Both of these developments are owned and operated by Equity Residential, Inc. Westwood has two single family housing developments that were developed under the Local Initiative Program from 1996-2000. All fifty-five affordable units are currently owned and occupied. The Town held a new lottery in December 2004 to establish an updated waiting list. This list will be used for the next three years if an affordable house becomes available for resale.
